 Fighting Remorse
« Thread Started on May 17, 2007, 6:13pm »

Ebonite charger advances through the misty fog of his terrain. Monotony had finally separated the king from his solitude. For far to long the onyx beast secluded himself in sorrow.
It had been months, years, since he had gained word of Illusion. As king of the lights All was forced to abandon his adoration of the Queen. For many years this swarthy creature had been able to seclude these ostracized emotions. The sudden wave of lust struck him with an unsought blow of morose and memories fabricated within the delicate psyche. These memories are what drove the diablo to isolation on the outskirts of his terrain.
You have to stop thinking…about the past! It’s too far gone, and you can’t change it now. There was nothing that could have been done differently.
Flints left moon shaped imprints along the sandy shore as the King trudged along, thinking to himself.
This is where you belong! You don’t have the heart to be a demon.
He wasn’t convinced.
Curvature craned towards the sky, pools shut tightly to block from the morning rays. Breathing deeply All allowed himself to concentrate deeply on the crashing waves against the shoreline.
It truly is beautiful here
Allowing himself sight once again the charger let out a whinny of remorse. Exhaling significantly All found himself heading towards the middle of his beloved empire.

{OOC: Its been a while. I have to work on getting those skills up again! Ever time I start getting good again, free would go dead, and I’d loose it all again! Haha!}

Kesla had not been in the territory long and already it bored him. There were no people (also known as horses), there were no, well yeah that happens to be it, horses. Sure it was nice looking and this was lot’s of food, and okay, sure he would run in to some one eventually, but even then with a sort of sickening skip in his stomach he knew any interaction would be bland and tasteless. Just like this post.

Because Crow’sia is dumb and can’t get into character. OMG KILLMENOWYAYOOC! Calm. See, filler? Haha, no this wasn’t what I was talking about in the Cbox. Anyways, on topic. The stallion had not really begun to pay attention to his surroundings until now. In fact he had just about blindly been walking, then barrelling, then walking again across the beaches. Every so often he would stumble in the sand, mildly embarrassing himself and the flesh on his cheeks would burn. At the moment though Kesla had stopped and started to take in the view. First of all he was in some kind of inlet of cove. The water that hit the beach and washed away the little bits of debris was unnaturally clear. It was freakishly clear. He found this rather odd. Then the sand, it seemed to sparkle, and mountains, they towered above. One great happy collection of picturesque beauty. Absolutely sickening!

Okay, so the beast did not actually believe this. Surely he even looked like some kind of angel from above glowing in the springtime sun himself. Kesla actually basked in it, he adored the splendour, it had a sort of rare seductive quality that surely others would be allured to as well and feel now shame when expressing this opinion. In Kesla’s case, the seduction was much stronger; nothing should look so wonderful. He picked up his feet and moved down to where water just touched his ankles. Being spring as it were, he felt his body stiffen to bare the cold, and taking a swift drink sprung back onto the welcoming sand. It was then that a smell came to him, relatively new so he assumed at last there must have been some other life form, a horse, around this deadbeat joint.

Following it, Kesla eventually recognized the scent as male and soon a set of hoof prints met his eyes in the sand. And as if luck would have it a call, a cry really, broke into the air, which would be much easier to track in his opinion. Picking his feet up higher then Kelsa opened into a run until he found the other animal running the very same direction away. Not wanting to be left alone high and dry again of course, he beckoned to the other with a second call, thanking the spirits he had not come from the other way, lest they both hammer into each other. Let’s face it, it would have been rather painful.

Charger trudged slowly back to the heart of the terrain. Pools watched the sparkling ground with an intent gaze, although his mind was else where. The morning silence disturbed the king beyond belief. How was it that a once successful herd had diminished? What was the sense in the title of “King” if he had no loyal subjects?
A cry of another horse emitted from behind. Ordinarily All would have challenged a stranger on his land, especially a strange stallion. The Swarthy charger stopped abruptly, pawing the ground with impatience. Whip cord swished side to side in aggravation. Hessian let out a deep sigh before allowing himself to turn around. He shook his majestic charcoal crown, eyeing the stranger.
And who are you?

It would have been a lie if Kesla, as he caught up with the stallion and compelled him to turn around, did not believe that his presence must be rather irritating. If he had the slightest feeling like was about to have his arse kicked he probably would have hightailed it of there. But here the other stallion only seemed annoyed, as if his presence were trivial and common, and not a threat. Kesla flicked his ears back and forth. Perhaps trying to communicate something. Something phenomenal! Nope, no it was just an insect gnawing at his head.
“Kesla Henlika,” he replied drying, running his gaze up and down the stranger. A stallion with no herd and land, or just a stallion? He was bigger than Kesla, quite significantly compared to his own scrawny build, and where battle was considered. He dug his hoof into the ground with no intention to be just driven away. Small talk would do him. “Your land, is it? It’s very, pretty.”

OOC; It's fine, I'm muse dead, or just plain distracted, too.

The king let out an irritated Snort. All wasn’t displeased with the fact that the other was a stallion; no any horse would exasperate the King right now. His mind was too engaged with thoughts of his past. Shaking away the unsolicited recollections All let out a soft whinny.
My Name is All For You
He stated his name slow and drawn out, like a child pulling apart taffy.
This is my land, yes. I am also King of those who have chosen the path to righteousness.
The Kings voice boomed loudly as if to drill his point into the strange Hessian’s head. In a way, he was. If this other being had the heart of dark, All would not put up with his fraudulent presence. He flicked his tail with impatience as he waited for the strangers response.

(OOC: Wow, Rping the day after a party you barely sleep at….isn’t easy!!!)

Yup, he certainly was not chip and pleased with Kesla being around. He shook his head and dug into the sand some more. He opened his ears, if light were sound it would have deafened all around reflecting off of his body. Again he looked the stranger up and down again. The manner in which he spoke was so drawn out that the first though that slithered into Kesla’s mind was that he must be retarded. He must be slow. However this tone did not last when he continued, and so with a sigh of relief, and even disappointment, he only continued to listen, nodding now and then.

How his pitch had changed! It was stronger, as though it were the light reflecting instead. Kesla dropped his ear and placed them tightly to his head so fast he almost lost the last piece of All For You’s statement. Sidestepping to frolic about in the most annoying manner, the blond coloured beast smiled and skipped sideways again raising a great fountain of sand right in the King’s direction. He paused, glanced about, his eyes fixing on the ground, and jumped again. Then again. Stopping to face the ‘path of righteousness’ following freak. Which I say of course because I’m tired of saying’ the stallion’. Kesla prodded the little grains digging into his hooves gently then kicked at it as if in despair or frustration. He really just want to be a bit of a pain. Deciding then to reply, he quickly contemplated what had just been revealed to him.

It was true that he had heard of these strange sort of lifestyles, he assumed there must be a divide simply for All’s choice of words. Particularly ‘chosen’ and ‘path’. They drawled out in his head, beating as a drum beats. Kesla actually followed a similar path, in his own world, but not out of loyalty to any beast, he also assumed others were the same. But to clear all doubt, he finally made his decision, resolving to question this idea and deepen his knowledge of the region. Spirits only knew what nutter lived around here.

“Righteousness, huh? You can be king of a principle?” His question were sincere but his tone admittedly derisive. With any luck, this strange self-proclaimed king (maybe he had followers somewhere, maybe it was really a blood thing Kesla was just in the dark to) would be reasonable. He smiled.

OOC; Writing in general isn’t easy. I just can’t get back into it. Course I never was very good.

Crown tilted to the side, the stallion licked the top of his mouth. The look of seriousness left the titan’s face, suddenly replaced by that of amusement. Laughter emitted deep down from the Hessian’s voice box. This creature was obviously younger then himself. Or perhaps was just the skittish type. All flicked his tail once again, this time purely for pleasure.
Is it ignorant to assume you are unaware of the battle between those who have chosen the path dark, and those of Light?
His voice this time held compassion. All his angry, his penitence had temporarily fled from his mind.
Pools trailed along the sandy beach, desperately trying to find something eye catching. The other being would simply not do. A flock of seagulls swarmed around a diminutive swimming whole. All intently watched a hurricane of feathers, sand and water. It occurred to him that the sun would soon be setting, and he had yet to make it back to the core of his land.
Breaking his gaze he turned back to intruder. All was unsure if he should invite the other with him or not. Could this stallion be trusted?
He seems rather unaware of the raging battle. There’s no way he could be a spy. No, but even so, what if he tries to over throw my authority?
Charger looked at the stallion, eyeing him up and down.
He is smaller than I. Much more skittish. I have the upper hand here. Perhaps there is nothing to worry about

If Kesla had actually been trying to calm the other down he would have been very proud, not just merely pleased. What had he been doing? He was not quite sure; being a bother, an annoyance. His grin widened. If anything this one sure spoke funny. “Not at all,” he followed with his own brown eyes, All’s movement realizing the time. Likely it were idiotic to be out in the open after nightfall, particularly since the temperature would surely drop. It was only spring after all. He intended, however, to finish this conversation. “But there’s a battle? I haven’t seen anyone around, but hard to believe.”

By now he had started to dig, still familiar images floating inside his head. He shook them off. Kesla figured if it were anything important he could pull it up when he had more relevant information. A bit of movement in the corner of his eye made the stallion flick his gaze back. He continued to face the horizon. All was looking him over. “Yes?”

Light laugh was carried around by the sea breeze. It tinkled over the small lapping of the waves and blended almost musiacally. Its owner finally stepped forth from the shadows of one very lonely sea birch. It was a light colored femme whose eyes seemed to flicker and chang with the sea. Her mouth was turned in a good natured smile and opened partially from where the noice just a moment before had flowed. Steadily she stepped forth, her mane flowing freely lapped against her creamy neck. Her eyes looked to the two whome she had been watching and listening to as they....well conversed with each other. It was quite amusing that they hadn`t noticed her yet and also made her glad that she could aty quite until the right time.

She walked around the small sea creast before coming along the beach from where she had seen the first stag come from. She knew that these lands were not hers and at the same time that she was not claimed. So either way she was in trouble for being her. Ha if she had cared she might actually think about this. But the thing with Azure and these things was she was attracted to them. She wanted to see how far in life she could push before something eventually happened. Trouble was simply a thing that she hoped would reward her for her eforts.

And so this all led her here to this period in time in front of these two stags. As she started to numb out to her surrondings she felt everything. the sea breeze that held that tinge of saltiness, her hooves sinking into the soft grey white sand beneath her. And finally the scent of the stags. She loved feeling things around her. She noticed every little detail and yet they all formed one picture. Amazing wasn`t it? But yes back to the stags. She stopped and looked over the two stags and simply stood. Perhaps her laugh had been drowned out. In any case she was here and was wondering if she would be in trouble.

I`m so sorry no muse what so ever so its really bad.

The King nodded along as the younger stallion talked.
Its laid a rest right now. Neither side is making its move. Neither side is strong enough.
Hessian pawed at the ground lightly and continued to look around. Snorting lightly he turned his attention back to the other.
I must continue back to the heart of this terrain. These outskirts are not safe, not at this time!
He gestured to the sun setting quickly along the horizon. Rays of red and orange raced along the heavens intertwining themselves. The skies themselves were painted with soft pinks and purples complimenting the darkening sky. If it weren’t for the separated lands and possible ambushes All would have stayed and watch this miraculous event carry out.
You are welcomed to join me, unless you have some where else to go.
With out awaiting an answer the Stag turned and began his journey back to the safest possible spot. The charger stopped abruptly, turning his head towards the thick grove of trees. Nostrils flared taking in what he thought was the sent of another horse. Slowly, as if he were a cat stalking a mouse, he began to inch towards the orchard of trees. Aud’s flicked forward listening intently for any sound of movement.
At the edge of the grove the Hessian stopped, not daring to go any closer. It was risky.
It could be a member of the Darks, ready to attack, I better not chance proximity.
The Stag thought of retreating back to the center of his topography but at this point, turning his back would be the most idiotic thing to do. He chanced speech.
Hello?
All stood perfectly still awaiting his response.

ooc: Yeah, I have no muse either! Don't worry about it =P Mines bad too!

It took whathisface (Kesla... seriously did forget x.x) a very small period of time do decide what he intended to do for the time being. This was so for the particular desire to privy himself to hat was happening on the territory. Slowly, he began to nod as well. "I see." Kesla flicked his ears backwards as a thought struck him and continued in suit with All's words, "I s'pose I'll have to pick a side eventually then." Smiling his laugh was acidic, "I think I will stay, thank you." And then, after having essentially spoke to himself and shifting his eyes to the darkening horizon, skipped after the other stallion.

All began to act strangely though, and very quickly. He crept towards the trees so carefully, as if he had seen something. Kesla stuck his nose to the hair. Hey, a horse, Crow thought, let's do something dumb. I mean Kesla of course. Anyways, while All seemed to stop and was weary of the stranger he had detected, Kesla galloped forward, even with the fool intention of ruining his sort of 'ambush'. Female, clearly. He cocked his head backwards to give All a sort of funny look that might have said 'wth'. ""Yes hello!"

Yes lame.

OOC; I think I'm going to take a break until the summer after this thread, cause, as you can clearly see, I hardly have the energy to care. x.x Hope that's okay with folks. I also need to look up his personality to brush up, hahaha.

The King lowered his muzzle to the chilly ground, trying to get a sent off the peculiar creature hiding with in the woods. Kesla bolted past All, causing him to jump backwards; rather startled. He cocked his head to one side, unsure what this young stallion was trying to do. He felt angered that the adolescent failed to follow his subtle more cunning approach. After all, All for you WAS the King. He flared his nostrils hoping the infantile charger would notice his wrath.

The King gave up, this youth was not his own, not his responsibility. Why should he care if he got himself in trouble. No alliance had yet to be made, and all owed this juvenile nothing. All liked Kesla; he had potential. And although All was that of the gentle sort, this young stallion needed tough love. Pistons carried the King away from the scene, Kesla would soon have to learn that All wouldn’t wait for childish games; If Kesla didn’t want to get lost, or left behind, he’d have to learn to follow All’s lead. Whether he learned or not, was not All’s problem.
