Dear Diary,
It seems the world is only growing weaker as the days drag on. I fear that the animals are going mad and have heard tales from many that their most loyal and docile companions have gone horribly mad and attacked them. Our neighbor's children have been feircly attacked by the bugs in which have tripled, perhaps more, in size. Plants seem to whither just as the water decreases each and every day. The days have only become more filled with heat as if the sun is blaring its venomous rays closer by the minute. I hear from far distances that the places in which are inhabited by snow are completely covered with it, blizzards always striking out.

June 24th, 2010.
Dear Diary,
I can not take much more. Another fire has broken lose over the grounds and we continue to move west where we here a small portion of land remains. We can only hope for the best. Most people on are trail ride are dieing of starvation, over heating, the large bugs swarming the humid air, or by dehydration. I am lucky to continue on. We have no animals on board of our buses for they have all horribly lost their minds and have gone crazy. Most die by killing their own selves.

Dear Diary,
Phoenix Arizona is the only portion of land that remains. Snow comforts the upper South Mountain, the rest barren desert but it is more alive than anywhere else. We stay boared up in a large estate due to wild animals out upon the lands. We hear rumors that they are winged dogs as well as rabid ones. I hear their growls and howls at night. Sometimes I fear they're going to break in and as night is settled upon us now I hear them lurking around the windows and doors, boarded up best we could. I'm terrified, I hear cre...

Not another entry could be written that day of July 4th, 2010 because the rest of the human population was taken by the demonic Crazed and the starving Bestowed. Their bodies wripped to shreds by horribly elongated enamels and torn by claws so viciously thirsty for the comfort of one's blood. How these canines came to be so hybrid is vastly unknown to anyone, not that there are any humans left to question the matter really. However, they are what destroyed the rest of man kind, the man kind God allowed to die away.

How could one blame God for this though? Even though it truly was his fault. God was angered by the way that man was running the earth, palluting the skies with toxic waste, and killing one another over ignorance and greed. He could no longer take the madness going on below him and turned the card over the Lord of Hell instead. He told the Lord of Hell that he may do exactly as he pleased, even destroy the earth completely. However, he had a different idea in mind. Lucifer decided to allow his pets to roam the lands and sent them from the underworld the human Christians feared, the one most didn't believe in. Lucifer's pets, breeds known as the Bestowed or Crazed, came about the lands and killed the creatures left upon it.

They now rule over the lands although it isn't the best setting anymore. The only place left upon earth is Phoenix Arizona, and only a small portion of it. The rest of the land was wasted away by horrible fires set from numerous lightning storms, blizzards merely melted away from the heat, flooded the lands then the water dried away. Houses that once kept hold of the people on earth now merely lay as rubbish on the grounds or covered by thick inches of dust and webs. It doesn't seem like much, however, when you live the life of such a hybrid canine this place is glorious with many places to travel and explore and many others to create quarrels with. It's no longer earth nor heaven, but it is hell on earth, at last.

The silence was killing him. He had expected her to take her time in making this choice, but it seemed like it stretched on forever. At last, she spoke. His auds perked. She said she would join him on his journey to nowhere. Well, wasn't this exciting! Phantom had never pictured himself having a companion on his roamings, let alone a young mare. He had to admit, even he would have thought twice about joining a strange stallion such as he. But he knew, since it was himself he was talking about, that he would keep to his words. Words were nothing next to actions. He would have to wait for a time where he could prove himself to her. Only then would she truely be able to trust in his words.

Her eyes took up a cold threatening glare as he watched her. She seemed to stand up taller, trying to look intimidating. Standing next to Phantom, it wasn't working very well, but he knew what she meant to accomplish, and he would not hurt her pride. He let his head fall just a little, so he didn't look so tall. To her, it would look as though he was submitting, which in a way, he was. Yes, she meant business, and he was ready to accept whatever threat he was in for. So, she was going to keep her alliance with the Darks until she fully trusted him. It was completely understandable. He only hoped that he would have a chance to rpove himself to her soon, so that she could be rid of the whole taking sides thing. It was poison to a bright mind.

Phantom brought his head back up, so that his eyes were level with hers. He gave her a hard, sincere stare. "I understand completely, miss Magic." He held her gaze, his sincerity flowing through his eyes, and he only hoped she could see this. "I will keep to my word. And once I have proved myself, you will keep to yours, and drop your alliance with the Dark side. Correct?" He wanted nothing more than to rid this young mare of the unecessary stresses of being divided. Soon, she would see this. She had already taken the crucial step in commiting to leaving. Now, it was up to him to prove to her that this life was better. And boy was he going to do just that.
